Introduction
2048 is a popular single-player puzzle game that was created by Gabriele Cirulli in 2014. The objective of the game is to slide numbered tiles on a 4×4 grid to combine them and create a tile with the number 2048.
How to play
- Tiles and Grid: The game is played on a 4×4 grid with numbered tiles that can slide up, down, left, or right.
- Combining Tiles: When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one tile with the sum of their values (e.g., two tiles with 2 combine to form a tile with 4).
- Movement: Every move shifts all tiles as far as possible in the chosen direction (up, down, left, or right). New tiles (either 2 or 4) spawn in empty spaces after each move.
- Winning: The goal is to create a tile with the number 2048. However, the game can continue beyond this point, allowing players to achieve even higher scores.
- Losing: The game ends when there are no empty spaces left on the grid and no more possible moves.
